90 day giving challenge

Generosity is the gateway to intimacy with God. Jesus said, “It is more blessed to give than to to receive” because it puts our focus on others, our dependence with God, and frees us from the “relentless pull” of materialism and greed. Biblical generosity begins with tithing, Giving the first 10% of your income back to God as an offering, and saying, “I recognize that all I have belongs to You. I want to give you the first and the best.” For many, the idea of tithing seems overwhelming. Yet, God challenges us to “test Him in this and see if He will not open the floodgates of Heaven and overwhelmingly provide for and bless us” as we demonstrate His first place in our lives. If you haven’t started tithing yet, we want to extend the 90 Day giving Challenge to you. Begin a lifestyle of generosity by consistently giving the first 10% of your income back to God, and see how He blesses you – it may be in finances, Relationships, family, opportunities, realigned priorities, or somewhere you’d never expect.

What is Tithing?

Tithing is one of the many ways we respond to God in worship. “Tithe” means ten percent, which is the portion of our income that we return to God through the local church for all God has blessed us with.

God doesn’t need our money, He wants our heart. We believe placing our treasure somewhere leads our heart there also so we actively encourage everyone to give to God the tithe and trust God. Trusting God with our finances is a great way to demonstrate our dependence on Him and a great way to mold our hearts to focus on growing his kingdom.
