A Small But Strong Group

To kick off the Spring small group semester Pastor Nick Newman brought a message on the importance of biblical community. God designed us for relationships, but in today’s world, many people feel lonely despite being more connected than ever. The story of Gideon in Judges 7 illustrates that the right relationships matter more than numbers—God reduced Gideon’s army from 32,000 to 300, choosing only those who were focused and prepared for battle. Similarly, in our spiritual journey, we need faith-filled friends who build us up rather than weaken us with fear. A small, strong group centered on God is more powerful than a large, unfocused crowd, so it’s important to surround ourselves with people who strengthen our faith and help us grow. This message was recorded live on February 23rd, 2025.
